To impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

Since our inception, we have positively impacted thousands of youth annually by creating experiences that build character to empower kids through a lifetime of new challenges and continuous personal growth. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.

We believe every kid deserves the chance to build inner strength before the world demands it, to find the joy that comes with feeling confident in their own skin before the world makes it feel impossible, and to access experiences and spaces where personal growth happens. We exist to enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them.

No child is ever turned away due to financial need – scholarships are available to those unable to afford the cost of our programs.

First Tee — Central Iowa holds programming at Golf House Iowa, Woodland Hills Golf Course, Des Moines Driving Range, West Grand Golf, Coldwater Golf Links (Ames), Woodward Golf Club, EK Golf, Copper Creek Golf Course and Grinnell College Golf Course.
